The airport is only minutes away and with its central location you are never far from the action or the tranquillity of a nice quiet day out.

The menu here at The Orchidea Thai Restaurant at Kandaburi Resort is best known for its wonderfully prepared Thai food. There are many delicious exotic dishes to choose from and if you’ve never tasted Thai food then you are in for a treat. Tord man leb krud is deep fried shrimps and chrysanthemum leafs cooked in a curried batter all served with a sweet dip, it tastes even better than it sounds. Tom yung king is another Thai favourite which a shrimp soup with spices and herbs added for flavour and is a must try on a visit to the Kingdom.

The restaurant is actually in a The Kandaburi Resort but there are numerous other hotels and resorts all along Chaweng beach. Muang Samui Spa and Resort, Amari Palm Reef Samui, Imperial Boat house, Nora Chaweng hotel, Samui First House Hotel, Punnpreeda Villa Pool Beachfront Samui, Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort, Maryoo Hotel, Sareeraya Villas and Suites and also Chaweng Buri Resort are only a very small few of them.

Summary

With Thai food fast becoming one of the world’s delicacies here is a great opportunity to sample the food at a very reasonable price. You should be able to feed yourself very well for about 500 THB, if you were to order the same food in your own country I’m sure you would pay a lot more and the food would be nowhere near as good.
