Introduction

Another one of the newer restaurants that have sprung up over the last year or By The Sea is exactly what it says it is. A wonderful dining experience by the sea surrounding the island of Koh Samui. The restaurant has a high ceiling and is made from bamboo. There is an inside and outside to this restaurant so you have a choice of eating in the cool air condition or sitting outside with a sea breeze to keep you cool.

Location

Located very near to the Big Buddha statue on the island you should have absolutely no trouble finding this little gem. Go north of the Big Buddha statue until you see a concrete road, after that a little on you will find a bridge. As soon as you cross the bridge you will see a sign on the left advertising the resort.

Menu

The menu offers a selection of the best seafood from Thailand and cooked in a Thai traditional way as well as some international dishes that revolve around seafood. Being an island there a plenty of different kinds of seafood available that can be bought fresh each day and then cooked and served to you at your table within a matter of hours. Talay Phad Pong Karee Kub Kai Kem being one these seafood dishes on offer here which is seafood stir fried with a curry powder, egg and cream. Another local favourite is Massaman Curry. This is a red curry with peanuts, onions and potato; it can also be served with chicken or pork.
