Introduction

Then there is Baan Boran, this is not just a place to eat food but an entire experience and definitely a place that you should visit at least once while staying on the beautiful island. Location

The Baan Boran restaurant is in a great location sitting on the pleasantly tranquil beach of Bo Phut. Bo Phut is very near to Chaweng beach which is a bit more upbeat if you feel like taking break from the quiet of Bo Phut. The airport is only a few minutes away from here also and the island is not difficult to get round.

Menu

The menu keeps in sync with the whole traditional theme of the restaurant and has an extensive range of local Thai food to pick from. All the food is beautifully arranged and the taste doesn't let it down. Thai food of now one of the most popular types of cuisine in the world and the Baan Boran is a great advertisement for this. With plenty of seafood which the island is known for and other truly tropical dishes you truly are spoiled for choice of food. Tom Kha Gai is one of personal favourites, a coconut soup with galangal, straw mushrooms and succulent pieces of chicken, is a fantastic dish.

Summary

The Baan Bora restaurant with its great atmosphere and even better food can't really be done justice with words. You will have to go and experience this yourself. The entertainment includes some very elegant Thai traditional dancers that seem to glide around the floor with all the grace of an angel, and traditional Thai puppet shows. All these things lend to the feel of the restaurant and really gives you the sense of being in South East Asia. The price of the food here is not for the faint hearted but it is definitely worth experiences this once.
