This area of Koh Samui is quite a newly developed area of Choengmon hotels and Choengmon resorts, that is proving extremely popular with the traveller that wants to stay in more upmarket accommodation. There are a huge variety of travellers that come to Samui, some are budget travellers and backpackers while others come with huge budgets for the most luxurious Choengmon spa and Choengmon villas. The area of Choengmon is a bit of an incorrect description. There is no singular beach known as Choengmon. Instead there are several beach coves that are sheltered by cliffs and have beautiful golden sand as well as rocks to investigate. The Choengmon beaches are quiet and sheltered and the sea warm and clear. As there are so many mid range to luxury hotels on the beachfront you will find plenty of water sports on offer such as water skiing, jet skiing and windsurfing to keep you occupied during your Choengmon holiday. Most people that are staying at Choengmon beach tend to eat at the hotel they are staying at and other beachfront restaurants. If you do travel a bit back from the seafront however, you will find plenty of varied bars and restaurants to spend your evenings.

Choengmon Beach has some fabulous small Thai food restaurants and you can usually tell the best by the number of Thai customers! You really do need to try the food in these restaurants as although the decor may not be luxury, the food is amazing and at silly prices. There are plenty of other styles of restaurant available where you can have a change from the local food. The area of Choengmon is quiet and will suit those who are looking for a restful and relaxing holiday. Many people choose to stay in Choengmon beach and then take a bus or taxi into the main town of Chaweng for a lively night out.
