Bophut Hotels and Bophut Resorts in Koh Samui
Bophut beach Koh Samui really does spoil its visitors with the amount of choice available for beach holidays! The island of Samui has several different resorts that are the main tourist areas, each of which has its own style and unique charm. Bophut hotels are fast becoming a popular choice for visitors as a more well-preserved and traditional part of the island.
Bophut Beach itself is large in area and is sometimes difficult to actually separate from Big Buddha and Maenam beaches, as the Bophut resorts blend into the neighbouring areas. This area is very unspoilt and has far less bars and entertainment built up on the beachfront. There are plenty of stretches of this beach that transport you back in time to when the island was untouched by tourism. You can sit there at the water's edge and take in the sounds of the water lapping the shore and sit under the palm trees. The sand is clean and white and the water is shallow and gets deeper very gradually which makes it a very safe swimming location.

One of the most charming areas of Bophut beach area is Fisherman's Village. This small line of shops and houses along the seafront has an extremely quaint feel to it with modern buildings mixed with traditional wooden Thai fisherman houses. This village was a main trading spot for the fishermen in years gone by but now it is more geared for the visitor, yet still retains a feel and charm all of its own. The restaurants and bars are varied and you can sample some really good cuisine here in the village. Don't be nervous to try the more traditional Thai restaurants, as you will most likely eat the best Thai food you have ever tasted at a fraction of the cost anywhere else. You will also find plenty of souvenir and clothes shops along this stretch of Bophut Beach and it is also a great place to sign up for a diving course with several dive shops located on this street.
There is plenty of accommodation in this area and if you are looking for budget then you will get better deals on Bophut hotels, Bophut resorts, Bophut villas and Bophut spa in this area compared to Lamai and Chaweng. There are still bars that are open late in the evening but no nightclubs so it is a much quieter type of location for your stay.
