A little about Koh Samui…

The island of Koh Samui (also known as Ko Samui) sits like an emerald gem in beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand. This tropical paradise is now known worldwide for its long sandy beaches, lush tropical jungle, lazy days and hedonistic balmy nights. Once a well kept secret holiday location for the backpacker, the island has seen rapid development in the past ten years to become an international five star resort island where the Koh Samui Spa development is well recognised. Development of these hotels in Koh Samui has not stolen any of Ko Samui's charm and you can still find isolated beaches and the friendly Thai smile everywhere you go.

Koh Samui travel has become easier in the last decade with the arrival of the airport on the island. The airport itself has won international awards for its design and, as you will see when you get here, it really does incorporate the island paradise architecture. On arriving on the island most head straight for their Koh Samui accommodation located in any of the several Samui Beach Resorts. You really are spoilt for choice in locations on this island with Chaweng beach, Lamai beach, Bophut beach, Maenam beach, Choengmon beach and Big Buddha beach. These are the main tourist locations but there are plenty of smaller isolated Koh Samui beaches for you to discover!

Your choice of accommodation in the Koh Samui resort is varied and will suit any budget and taste. You can even choose from a fine selection of newly built Koh Samui villas around the island for little bit extra privacy during your stay. With a wealth of small budget hotels and beach accommodation ranging all the way up to top five star hotel chains around the island, the only thing that limits your stay in a hotel in Ko Samui is your imagination.

The resorts around the island also vary incredibly. Chaweng is well know as the playground of the young and all night beach parties are common place. More sedate resort towns such as Lamai offer a lively evening for the slightly older traveller. There are also several smaller island resort areas that are much more focused on tranquil days and lazy evenings. The style of your holiday is truly up to you as this island offers entertainment for every taste. There is no doubt that your trip to Koh Samui will be an unforgettable experience and we hope that you will return and visit again and again!
